Amnesty International to receive prestigious award

Irene Khan, Secretary General of Amnesty International, will visit Greece from 19 to 21 September 2006. She will receive an award from the Athens Bar Association in recognition of hers and Amnesty International's "contribution in the struggle to promote the human rights of citizens and justice worldwide, especially in an era when human rights are being openly violated".
