This report focuses on the case of Alpha Condé, one of the main opposition leaders, and his 47 co-accused. It highlights the fact that Alpha Condé's sentence of five years' imprisonment after an unfair trial - before the Cour de Sûreté de l'Etat (CSE), a special court - is a good illustration of the state of Guinea's judicial system, which does nothing to prevent the systematic violation of human rights.
