In this document, Amnesty International relates the continuing plight of detainees, and summarizes developments related to the ongoing hunger strike and suicide attempts. The organization assesses the situation of nine men who remain detained despite no longer being considered 'enemy combatants' by US authorities. It also examines the impact on some of the family members of the detainees, many of whom have suffered as a result of the detentions. Finally, Amnesty International describes the consequences for some detainees who were released from Guantánamo yet continue to suffer the direct results of their experiences in US detention in Guantánamo and elsewhere.
