Walid al-Qadasi, a 25 year old Yemeni was arrested in Iran in late 2001. He was then shipped to Afghanistan, to Guantánamo Bay, and then to Yemen. For much of that time he was held in secret. He suffered terrible abuses. He is still imprisoned in Yemen, more than four years after his arrest, without being charged with any offence. A senior Yemeni official has said that Walid al-Qadasi was being held at the request of the US authorities. This document urges that he be released or charged with a recognizable offence and given a fair trial.
