This paper aims to help lawyers fight torture, by highlighting what they and lawyers associations can do to help stop it. The paper cites rules against torture set out in international law and the safeguards required by law to help prevent torture. This paper also cites provisions against torture in Chinese law and China's international obligations on this issue.
