This briefing reflects Amnesty International’s information on human rights violations against women committed in the context of the armed conflict situation in Côte d’Ivoire, with an emphasis on violence against women, in particular rape and other forms of sexual violence. To Amnesty International’s knowledge, virtually no perpetrator of rape and other sexual violence committed in the context of the conflict has been prosecuted and none of the victims have received reparation or appropriate healthcare.
