USA: AI's framework for ending illegal detention - parliamentary action

In this framework Amnesty International urges the US authorities, amongst several related recommendations, to close the detention facility at Guantánamo Bay; to release all detainees held in the "war on terror" unless they are to be charged and given a fair trial; to repeal the Military Commissions Act 2006; and to provide prompt and adequate reparation to released detainees.
