In this letter, three non-governmental organizations, welcomes the newly appointed President of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the opportunity for WBG to provide global leadership in the pursuit of poverty eradication and sustainable development. To achieve this goal, it will be essential to ensure that the WBG fully upholds human rights and acts consistently with international human rights law. Challenges in current policies are identified and recommendations for change are made by the signatories.
