This document expresses AI’s concern regarding the draft “Universal Declaration of Human Responsabilities”, launched by a group of former government leaders, the InterAction Council, who want this declaration to become a complement to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). According to the report, the draft declaration, by its vagueness and omissions, could undermine the UDHR and other human rights standards deriving from it. The report reasserts AI’s belief in a commitment, in word and deed, to promote and implement all human rights for all people.
